SALT Project

There is a need for a project which deals with North Down’s severe problem of single person homelessness, especially in relation to people aged between 16 to 18 who cannot be housed through NIHE.

The possibility exists for NIHE to lease properties to an appropriate provider for them to use for young homeless. An element of training and/or job placement could be incorporated within the project. A possible funding channel may be through NIHE’s Supporting People Fund.

Income Generating Mechanism

The project income generating mechanism is currently being investigated by YMCA and PSc Management Consultants.
